(Guthrie Co) Two people were arrested on multiple drug related charges in Guthrie County.
Guthrie County Deputy Kent Gries says this investigation was brought to the Sheriff’s Office by the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, formerly known as DHS, as they had concerns of drug abuse taking place inside of the residence (620 Sherman Street in Menlo) on Thursday.
As a result of the search warrant, Heather Jydstrup and Cody Jydstrup were arrested on multiple drug related charges. Two children were ordered by the Guthrie County District Court to be removed from the residence due to unsafe living conditions.
Cody Jydstrup was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana 1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and two counts of Felony Child Endangerment.
Heather Jydstrup was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana 1st Offense, Possession of Morphine 1st Offense, Possession of Hydrocodone 1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, two counts of Felony Child Endangerment, and Distribution of a Controlled Substance to Persons Under Age 18.
The Jydstrup’s were arrested and booked into the Guthrie County Jail.
All criminal charges are merely accusations and all suspects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in the court of law.
