(Audubon) The Audubon Community School District has announced no school on Wednesday, November 11, following the Audubon Wheelers’ quarterfinal victory and advancement to the State Semifinals.
The win marks the first time in program history the Wheelers have made back-to-back trips to the state semifinals. The district congratulated the players, Head Coach Sean Birks, and the entire coaching staff on the accomplishment.
Audubon will face its next opponent in the State Semifinals on Wednesday, November 11, at 1 p.m. in Cedar Falls.
The district says canceling classes will give students, families, staff, and community members an opportunity to attend the game and support the Wheelers.
Additional information regarding tickets, parking, and a pep rally is expected to be released later. The district announced the no-school day in advance to give families time to make plans.
