(Ames, IA) – Iowa State started off their regular season on more than a good note in their 82-55 win over Butler on Monday. This now marks the 29th straight season that the Cyclones have earned a victory in their regular season opener.
Nyamer Diew led Iowa State with 19 points and nine rebounds, just short of a double-double. The senior also shot 46 percent from the field, earning her 4th-career 10+ point game. Kelsey Joens and Addy Brown each had double figures in their collegiate debuts as they put up 13 and 11 points respectively. Isnelle Natabou earned 14 points in the game and shot 5-7 on the night from the field.
Iowa State will travel south to take Drake this Saturday with the opening tipoff at 2:00 p.m.
