(Creston) The Creston Police Department reports two arrests over the weekend.
Police arrested 26-year-old Roni Lynn Steil of Woodburn Friday at the Creston Union County Law Enforcement Center. Authorities charged her on a Union County Warrant for Violation of Conditions of a pretrial release, on original charges of two counts of Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree, Administering Harmful substances, Incest, two counts of lascivious Acts with a Child-Permit/Cause to Fondle, Lascivious acts with a Child-Fondle or Touch, two counts of Child Endangerment, and three counts Indecent Contact with a Child a Class B Felony. Steil was taken to the Union County Jail, and later taken to the Adams County Jail, and held on a $95,000 cash-only bond.
Police also arrested 44-year-old Lela Ann Churchwell at McKinley Park for possession of drug paraphernalia, consuming an alcoholic beverage in a public place Offense, and a Union County Warrant for FTA Disorderly Conduct-Loud Raucous Noise. Churchwell was taken to the Union County Jail and later to the Adams County Jail. Churchwell is being held on a $900 cash or surety bond.
