(Des Moines, IA) — Mental health issues are rising faster in Iowa than most of the U.S. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that nearly one percent more adults in Iowa battle mental health issues this year compared to a year ago. The fourth highest increase in the U.S. Idaho saw the largest increase of nearly 1-point-8 percent. Michigan is last with a point-zero-two percent jump. The CDC says one in five people in the U.S. experience mental illness each year.
