(Atlantic) Fire prevention week starts October 8 and runs through October 14. The Atlantic Firemen will kick off the week with a breakfast on Sunday, October 8, and end with the parade on Saturday, October 14.
Jake Vetter, spokesman for the Atlantic Fire Department, says they will kick off the week with the annual breakfast from 7:00 a.m. to noon.
The following week, the Atlantic Firemen will visit schools and preschools, discussing fire safety, particularly this year’s theme, “Cooking Safety Starts with You.”
The week culminates with the parade on Saturday evening, October 14. Vetter says the lineup starts at 4:00 p.m. at 3rd and Olive Street.
The annual breakfast will be held from 7:00 a.m. to noon at the Fire Station on West 7th Street.
