(Sidney) The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men following an investigation in Fremont County. The two men taken into custody are 34-year-old Charles David Forbes of Omaha and 47-year-old Shane Michael Downey of Hamburg.
On September 26, Fremont County Deputies conducted multiple search warrants at a residence in the 400 block of Main Street and the 3100 block of Washington Street in Hamburg, where deputies recovered stolen property and illegal drugs.
Downey (pictured above) is charged with 1st–degree theft, possession of methamphetamine, 2nd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of prescription drugs. Authorities released Downey after he posted the $10,000 surety bond. Forbes is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.

Authorities charged Forbes with 1st–degree theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additional charges are pending in this case.

*On September 28, deputies arrested Chrissy Lee Farnsworth, 57, of Riverton, for two counts of possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. She was released after posting the $2,300.00 surety bond.

*On September 28, deputies arrested 41-year-old Dustin Kalkas of Shenandoah for an outside agency.

*Deputies arrested 70-year-old Patrick Lynn Greene of Shenandoah on September 26 for violating his probation. Authorities released him on his recognizance.

*On September 28, Fremont County Deputies arrested 61-year-old John Allen Strange of Riverton, Iowa, for possessing methamphetamine, 3rd offense. He was released after posting the $1,000.00 surety bond.

*On Sunday, October 1, deputies arrested 21-year-old Gage Mitchell Mundorf of Atlantic for two counts of possession of a controlled substance, 2nd offense (Cocaine and Marijuana). He is being held on a $4,000.00 cash bond.
