(Adair Co) A Greenfield man was arrested last week on a warrant charging him with multiple counts of Sexual Abuse.
According to the warrant, 21-year-old Dakota Layne Paxton was charged with 39 counts of Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree 1st Offense– Child Victim-Person Four or More Years Older; 37 counts of Enticing a Minor under 16 – Sexual Purpose; five counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – Cause to Engage in Act; and two counts of Purchase/Possess Depiction of Minor in Sex Act 1st Offense. Paxton was arrested September 19th and held in the Adair County Jail on $20,000 cash or surety bond.
In other activity, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Tanya Lynn Funke, of Stuart, on September 17th on a warrant for Child Endangerment and Domestic Abuse Assault 1st Offense. Funke was held on $2,300.
The Stuart Police Department arrested 29-year-old Bianca Linette McGhee and 29-year-old Antanea Lashay Burton, of Des Moines, on September 19th after officers were called to the Kum & Go for a report of two females leaving with an armful of liquor bottles. The vehicle the two left in was located and stopped on I-80 eastbound at the 113 mile marker off-ramp. The entire back seat of the vehicle was full of various liquor bottles. McGhee and Burton could not provide proof of purchase for any items, but stated they got some from other Kum & Go stores in Iowa and Nebraska. A clear plastic baggie of a green leafy substance was also located in the vehicle. McGhee was charged with Theft 3rd Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was held on $3,000 cash or surety bond. Burton was charged with Theft 3rd Degree and held on $2,000 cash or surety bond.
The Adair Police Department arrested 24-year-old Drew Darin Steckelberg, of Adair, on September 21st for Theft 2nd Degree (stolen vehicle). Steckelberg was held on $5,000 cash or surety bond.
