Iowa State University, University of Iowa Among U.S. Universities With Most Utility Patents

(Ames, IA) Iowa State University and The University of Iowa are among the institutions leading the nation in granting utility patents. The National Academy of Investors says Iowa State got 39 patents last year and Iowa got 19. The two universities place 54th and 80th respectively. The N-A-I says they created the list to show what institutions are driving innovations in the country.
