Iowa County Crash Claims One Life

(Marengo) One person died in a two-vehicle crash in Iowa County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Tuesday at around 2:33 p.m. in the 2000 block of 210th Street. Authorities say 52-year-old William F. Myers, of Marengo, died in the accident.

According to the report, a southbound 2009 Ford Escape driven by Myers crossed the centerline into the northbound lanes while entering a curve. It collided with a northbound 2021 Freightliner truck driven by 65-year-old Russell W. Trimble of Marengo.

The Powell Funeral Home transported Myers to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny.
