(Oakland) IKM/Manning travels to Riverside in a Class A District 7 matchup. The Wolves are 2-1, and Riverside enters the contest at 1-2. The Bulldogs defeated West Monona in week one, 40-0, fell short to AHSTW, 41-7, and lost a close one to South Central, Calhoun, 34-28 last week.
Despite the 1-2 start, Riverside Head Coach Darrell Frain says his team has dramatically improved over the past three weeks.
Grady Jeppesen is showing his versatility in throwing, running, and receiving. The senior is completing 70.3 percent of his passes for 538 yards, has 18 carries for 95 yards, and has caught five passes for 76 yards.
The Bulldogs are having success running the ball, with 604 rushing yards, led by Jaxon Gordon’s 78 carries for 442 yards.
IKM/Manning entered week four with 905 total yards of offense. The Bulldogs have rushed for 479 yards and passed for 427. IKM/Manning quarterback Ben Ramsey is 38-59 passing and five touchdowns.
Coach Frain says this team is well coached, well balanced, and they play physically.
IKM/Manning started the season with wins over East Sac County, 19-15, edged Panorama, 27-26, and lost to Earlham last week, 40-33.
Turnovers are always a factor in the game, and Riverside has picked off six passes and recovered two fumbles through the first three games of the season.
