(New York, NY) — Using the internet is linked to cognitive benefits to older people, according to new research. A study out last month in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society found that people between 50 and 65 who use the internet regularly see their chances of developing dementia drop by nearly nine percent. People using the internet for more than two hours a day, however, saw their risk for dementia increase.
