(Anita) The American Cancer Society is hosting “Putt Fore a Cure” at Crestwood Hills Golf Course in Anita.
The American Cancer Society says thanks to generous donations to support the fight against cancer, they are making great progress. Cancer death rates have dropped 26-percent, saving nearly 2.4 million lives from cancer over the past decade.
Suzanne Mages, Senior Community Development Manager, said the four-person, Best Shot Golf Tournament is Saturday, September 23rd at the Crestwood Hills Golf Course in Anita.
The cost is $200 for a team. Fifty dollars from every entry fee will be donated to the American Cancer Society. The remainder will be used to pay green fees and returned as prize money. Other options include becoming a hole sponsor for $100; Donating an item(s) for the “Bag Sale” or food to the dinner; and/or make a direct donations to the cause.
