(Guthrie Center) On Tuesday morning, the Guthrie County Board of Supervisors approved the Smith Acres Minor Subdivision. The board voted 3-2 to develop four-two acre lots on eight acres of farmland on Highway 4 and 180th Street north of Panora.
Guthrie County Auditor Dani Fink says the supervisors tabled their decision last week.
In other business, the supervisors approved support for the Multimodal Project Discretionary Grant Project. This funding supports three major discretionary grant programs that involve surface transportation projects designed to strengthen supply chains, spur economic development, and improve safety and daily life. Funding applications are being solicited under a single opportunity titled the Multimodal Project Discretionary Grant program.
The supervisors also re-appointed Steven James as Veterans Affairs Commissioner and re-appointed Sheriff Marty Arganbright as the Regional Housing Representative.
