(Glidden) An 8-year-old child riding a bicycle suffered serious injuries when struck by a pickup in Glidden.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 1:32 p.m. on Saturday on Colorado Street south of 6th Street in Glidden. A child riding a bicycle rolled out in the street in front of a southbound 2023 Chevy Silverado pickup driven by 63-year-old Thomas Lee Franzen of Carroll, striking the child on the bike.
Life Flight airlifted the 8-year-old to Blank’s Children’s Hospital for treatment.
