(Des Moines) Atlantic FFA Advisor Eric Miller reported on Thursday that chapter members continued to earn awards with their projects at the Iowa State Fair.
In the Rabbit Show, Claire Schroder (pictured) finished second in the Class 2 Pin of 3 Fryer Rabbits, receiving a purple ribbon. Schroder also picked up three blue ribbons during the competition.
Three Atlantic FFA members participated in the FFA Breeding Beef Show. McKenna Sonntag placed 1st in her class and finished runner-up for Champion Simmental Beef. Brock Henderson received a blue ribbon in the Simmental Class, and Lola Comes received a blue ribbon in the Angus Division.
Taylor McCreedy picked up where she left off on Wednesday, finishing second in Western Riding, fourth in the FFA Trail Class, and was named Overall Halter Horse Champion. McCreedy won several divisions and was named Reserve Champion High Point Individual FFA Horseman.
In total points, McCreedy, and Colton Becker were named Reserve Champion FFA High Point Chapter.
