(Des Moines, IA) — Recent rains have helped, but many creeks and rivers are still suffering from years of dry weather.
Jeff Zogg is a hydrologist with the National Weather Service in Des Moines. He says levels are especially low in parts of northwest and southeast Iowa, due to more severe drought conditions.
