Iowa Drought Deepens

(Undated)  —  This week’s U-S Drought Monitor Map shows the entire state remains in drought or near-drought condition.  Conditions are most dry in the northwest and the southeast.   This week’s map shows a large part of eastern Iowa has moved from moderate to severe drought. The map does not, however, include the significant rainfall. Parts of Iowa received between two-to-six inches of welcome rain.
