(Storm Lake, IA) A Storm Lake teenager is accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill a child. The Storm Lake Police Department says a 17-year-old girl tried to rent a hitman-dot-com — a parody website — to put a hit on a seven-year-old. Police say they got a report from the fake website about her request. An undercover cop contacted the teen about the hit and confirmed the request was a credible threat to the child. Police arrested the 17-year-old Friday afternoon, charging her with solicitation to commit murder. Police say the child and their family are unharmed and unaware of the potential threat.
