(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council Wednesday evening awarded the contract for this year’s fireworks display to Wild Wayne’s.
On May 3, the City Council announced the solicitation for sealed bids for this year’s Fourth of July display with a 5:00 p.m. deadline on Friday, May 12. Wild Wayne’s submitted the only request of $12,500, which was $1,750 over the city budget. However, the Council agreed to go forward with awarding the contract to Wild Wayne’s.
The Council also agreed to work with Wild Wayne’s, the Fire Chief and others to find the best location for the show in order to have the best show and keep everyone safe.
The Council then discussed allowing the public to shoot off fireworks beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30th through Tuesday, July 4th, and fireworks must be shot off before 11:00 p.m.
