(Des Moines) A proposal creating a total abortion ban in Iowa failed to survive last week’s funnel. House Speaker Pat Grassley said the bill was never going anywhere, at least not until the state Supreme Court decides on the fetal heartbeat law. Grassley says GOP leadership is on the same page, awaiting the high court’s decision.
