(Des Moines, IA) — Bills introduced at the Iowa Capitol would reverse Iowa’s stance on gay marriage. A 2009 decision by the state Supreme Court made Iowa the third state in the nation to let same-sex couples marry. The bills introduced by eight GOP representatives would define marriage as a union between a biological man and a biological woman. If the proposals fail to move through a committee by Friday, the proposal would be dead for the session.
