(Des Moines, IA) — Dust that sprinkled all over a bunch of cars in Des Moines this week, likely traveled thru the air all the way from Oklahoma.
Mike Fowle with the National Weather Service-Des Moines says the same thing happened during the December derecho in 2021. He says it’s been very windy in Oklahoma, and rain brought the dust in the atmosphere down to earth in Des Moines. Car owners then shared the pictures on social media.
