(Shelby Co) A public hearing will be held March 9th regarding an agreement that will share Shelby County and the City of Harlan policing duties.
According to the Shelby County Board of Supervisors meeting minutes, Shelby County Sheriff Neil Gross said his department has been in talks with the City of Harlan regarding the agreement. The public hearing will be held March 9th at 6:00 p.m. at the CJ Therkilsdsen Center.
In other news, the Shelby County Board of Supervisors approved fiscal sponsorships for two grants, one from Shelby County Conservation Board and one for the Sheriff’s Department. The Board also approved publication of wages of Shelby County employees. They also approved a utility permit for Windstream Communications.
