(Des Moines) Iowa Democratic lawmakers are hosting a special hearing for parents to discuss book bans. This comes after a recent meeting where GOP lawmakers only heard from people affiliated with the conservative group, Moms for Liberty. Representative Lindsay James says requests to hear from other Iowans at the following meeting were denied. The Oversight Public Hearing will be held today at 4 p.m. in Room 305 at the state capitol.
