(Undated) Another weekend warmup will give us several days well above freezing to help melt the new snow. Total snow accumulations vary from eight inches in Griswold, and Red Oak in Southwest Iowa to nine inches in Oskaloosa in Southeastern Iowa. The Des Moines metro area ranged from 5.5 inches in Grimes to 8 inches in Indianola. One of the highest totals in the state is 10-and-a-half inches at Iowa City in Eastern Iowa. Temperatures will be near or in the 40s starting Saturday and continuing into next week.
