(Cass Co) The Cass County Board of Supervisors held a lengthy discussion this morning on the Compensation Board’s recommendation for Elected Officials.
The Compensation Board has recommended a 10-percent increase for the Auditor, Attorney, Treasurer, Recorder, and Supervisors and a 13.5-percent increase for the Sheriff. The Supervisors said they certainly need to do something to attract and retain employees, especially for the employees on the low end of the pay scale.

Another factor the Supervisors are considering is how health insurance will figure in and if any changes to their plans will need to be made.
The Supervisors took no action on the Compensation Board’s request so they can review the overall budget while considering all possible percentages.
