(Harlan) The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reports several drug-related arrests.
Mary Marie Reseter, 41, of Woodbine, was arrested August 21st following a traffic stop on Highway 59. Reseter has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine. Reseter was held on $1,000 cash/surety bond after an initial appearance. Later that week, Reseter was able to post bond and was released from custody.
Jody Ann Rhodes, 49, of Dunlap, was arrested August 21st for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released the following day on her own recognizance. Rhodes was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Ross Alan Roecker, of Manilla, who was charged with Driving While Revoked and cited for no insurance and no seat belt. Roecker was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was processed and posted the $1,000 cash bond.
Aaron Robert McCutcheon, 33, of Harlan, was arrested August 14th on an outstanding warrant for original charges filed in May. Charges included Controlled Substance Violation and Possession of a Controlled Substance. In June, McCutcheon had posted bond through the courts and was released from custody. Bond was revoked at the request of the co-signer placing McCutcheon back in Jail under a $25,000 cash/surety bond.
Karen Sue Schuemann, 48, was arrested by the Iowa State Patrol on August 13th on an outstanding warrant out of Shelby County for failure to serve a seven day jail sentence. Schuemann was transported to the Shelby County Jail for processing where she obtained an additional charge of Possession of Contraband in a Controlled Facility. She was held on $5,000 bond after an initial appearance with the magistrate. A passenger in the vehicle was also arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Shelby County. 31-year-old Joey Lee Ranney was taken into custody for charges of Stalking, six counts of No Contact Order Violation, Providing False Information to a Peace Officer, and Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine. Ranney was held on $50,000 cash/surety bond.
The Sheriff’s Office also arrested 24-year-old Dylan Michael Jager, of Elk Horn, on August 14th as the result of an investigation. Jager was charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree and Simple Assault. He was booked into the Shelby County Jail and later posted the $5,300 surety bond and was released from custody. As a result of the same investigation, 45-year-old Brian Kelly Jager, of Elk Horn, was also arrested and charged with Simple Assault. He was processed into the jail and released later that evening on $300 bond.
Preston Max Russell, 18, of Kirkman, was arrested August 18th on an additional charge of OWI 1st Offense from an earlier investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. Russell had an initial appearance with the magistrate the following morning and was released from custody.
Bradley Allen Hess, 31, of Harlan, was arrested August 20th after complaints were filed for violation of a no contact order. Hess was transported to the Shelby County Jail without incident and was held without bond until an appearance in front of the judge. After an appearance the following morning, bond was set at $1,000 cash/surety. Hess posted bond later that evening and was released from custody.
