(Griswold) On Monday, the Griswold School Board approved bids for a new gym floor and bleachers at the Middle School. The rubberized floor needs maintenance work done to it.
Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs said they preferred a wood floor and as luck would have they found a company that would install wood cheaper than rubber. He said in the process the district learned the bleachers must be removed to replace the flooring. “So we thought it might be time to take a look at replacing the bleachers, so the board accepted the bid for that part of the project too,” said Henrichs. H21 Groups submitted the accepted bids of $67,038.00 for the floor and $56,663.00 for the bleachers. The PPEL or sales tax funds these types of capital projects.
