(Atlantic) An employee retention stipend is one of many action items on Wednesday’s Atlantic School Board meeting agenda.
Atlantic School’s Superintendent Steve Barber recommends a stipend for full and part-time employees based on continuous years of service after the 2021-2022 school year.
Barber recommends one (partial included) to four years experience, $1,000. Five to nine years of experience, $1,250.00, and ten years of experience, $1,500, paid on September 1, 2022.
The board discussed providing the retention stipend from Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds at the January work session. They believe all Atlantic school employees are valuable to the mission of the school and students, and they want to recognize them for continuing employment with the district.
The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Schuler Elementary Media Center.
