(Nodaway) District #11 State Senate Republican Senator Tom Shipley says he’s glad to see the tax reform bill move forward. This past week the Iowa State Senate Ways and Means Committee advanced the G-O-P’s five-year plan to the state income tax rate to three-point-six percent.
Senator heard positive feedback from people about the proposed tax cut plan.
If passed, the bill would also cut the corporate tax rate, reduce and eliminate some businesses’ tax credits, provide a tax break to banks, and propose a new way to finance water quality and outdoor recreation projects.
