Update: One person transported to the hospital following an accident east of Marne

(Marne) One person was transported to the hospital following a single vehicle accident east of Marne this morning.

Cass County Deputy Ben Bartholomew says a Chevy pickup, driven by Donald Sonntag, was traveling eastbound on Eastland Road, just west of 590th, when for unknown reasons the pickup left the right side of the roadway and went down the embankment and collided with the culvert.

Sonntag was transported to Cass Health by Cass County EMS.
