(Des Moines, IA) — The Iowa Department of Public Health updated numbers today (Wednesday) show the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 has fallen to 747. That’s down from a high of 843 on December 12th and the lowest number of COVID hospitalizations in the state since December 5th. The number of confirmed new cases reported week-over-week was 10-thousand-381. The state has averaged around 10-thousand-800 new cases weekly since the third week in November.
