Garrett said she is excited to see where Atlantic can go.
Atlantic City Councilwoman Grace Garrett and longtime Atlantic resident, and former Mayor, Tim Teig were vying for the seat. Garrett and Teig had the top two highest votes in the November 2nd General Election out of four candidates, however both failed to get the required 50-plus one majority vote to secure a win, leading to a runoff election.
Mayor Dave Jones did not seek re-election. Garrett will take over as Mayor in January.
