(Atlantic) The polls open today at the Cass County Community Center for the Atlantic Mayoral runoff election. This venue is the only voting location for this election. Grace Garrett and Tim Teig are vying for the seat.
Teig, a lifelong Atlantic Resident, was 29-years old when he served one term on the City Council and defeated four other candidates in the 1985 Mayoral election.
During his time as Mayor, Teig says he was instrumental in recruiting two significant manufacturers to Atlantic.
City Councilmember and Mayoral candidate Grace Garrett’s message is the same as when she first decided to run.
As a member of the City Council, Grace Garrett says she has a pulse on the City of Atlantic.
The Atlantic residents living in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Wards use the main entrance to the Cass County Community Building. The residents living in the 4th and 5th Wards will use the south entrance. The Polls open at 7:00 am and close at 8:00 pm.
