(Audubon) The Audubon County Board of Supervisors have approved an as-needed Dispatcher.
Sheriff Todd Johnson appeared in front of the board on Tuesday. Cassie Jacobsen has been approved. “I’ve been in the hiring process for a Dispatcher/Jailer. I was unable to get a full-time person, so I will try after the holidays again. I did have a part-time person willing to work as-needed so I have a resolution here.”
Audubon County Weed Commissioner Kent Grabill approached the Board of Supervisors this week about receiving more compensation for his expanded duties. The Supervisors indicated they would communicate with the secondary roads department in regards to Grabill being able to receive overtime pay for his duties within that department. Supervisors Chairman Rick Thompson says “We’ll have to visit with Mitch Rydl because we haven’t talked raises with anybody yet.” Supervisor Doug Sorensen says, “It seems to me if you take on extra responsibility there should be some extra pay.”
Grabill has served as the Audubon County Weed Commissioner for the past ten years. He indicated to the board that chemical prices will be increasing and could be hard to find for the upcoming year.
