(Sioux City, IA) — A 19-year-old accused shooter has been charged with attempted murder in Sioux City. Eric Jahim Word is one of three people charged in the Friday incident. The male victim suffered a chest wound. Investigators say Word, 39-year-old Joy-Esther Scott and 23-year-old Miracle Walls had been following a woman they were feuding with. When she stopped, the three opened her car door and began attacking her. The victim of the attack called her brother and he came to help her. That’s when witnesses say Word pulled out a gun and shot the brother twice. The victim is being treated for serious injuries at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center. His name hasn’t been released.
