(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board on Wednesday approved a number of Contract Recommendations and Resignations.
The Board approved the following resignations: Nathan Renz – Bus Mechanic, Kassidy Edwards – Middle School Special Education Paraeducator, Stephanie Kloewer – Food Service, Angela Hillhouse – Food Service, Katy Christianson – Freshman Girls Basketball.
The Board approved the following Contract Recommendations: Michaelin Juhl – High School Special Education (internal transfer), Stephanie Kloewer – High School Special Education Paraeducator (internal transfer), Kerry Jepsen – High School Special Education Pareducator, Trena Page – Washington Special Education Paraeducator, Aubrey Stewart- Washington Special Education Paraeducator, Jen Renz – Washington Special Education Paraeducator, Aliyah Jordan – Washington Special Education Paraeducator, Emily Hanson – Food Service, Melissa Smith – Food Service, Lindsey Mitchell – Food Service, Scott Dickerson – High School Night Custodian, Sarah Rose – High School Student Council Sponsor, Angela Sieh – Middle School Student Council Sponsor, Clint Roland – Assistant Middle School Football Coach, Katy Christianson – Volunteer Volleyball Coach, Abby Becker – Volunteer Cross Country Coach, Don Pobanz – Volunteer Cross Country Coach.
In other action, the Board approved the 2021-22 TLC Mentor Contracts for Stacy Johnson, Tracy Daugherty, DeLana Harris, Jenny Madsen, Chelsey Lee, Angela Oglesbee, Liz Reid, Allison Berryhill, Kathy Hobson, Mandi Brauer and Rhonda Hawkins. Each mentor receives a $2,500 stipend for four additional days.
The Board approved the Southwest Iowa Apex Consortiums Agreement. This agreement allows Atlantic Schools to utilize the program to help serve students where it is determined to be the appropriate setting.
They also approved the 2021-22 Student/Parent handbooks. Minimal changes were proposed to each book.
