(Atlantic) Atlantic Parks and Recreation Director Bryant Rasmussen encourages the public to visit the wildlife refuge area along Iowa Avenue.
Rasmussen said the area is blooming with beautiful flowers and he is hoping with all of the milkweed that has popped up you will be able to see a lot of monarch butterflies this fall.
More information on Atlantic Parks and Recreation activities can be found on Facebook at Atlantic Parks and Recreation.
Rasmussen said they have partnered with Atlantic Rising and the Atlantic Chamber to host an Adult Kickball game today (Saturday, July 24) at 5:00 p.m. at the TFred field at Sunnyside Park. Anyone is welcome to just show up and participate. He said they are also hosting an Adult Art in the Park Event called Creation Vacation on August 4th at 7:00 p.m. at the lower center shelter at Sunnyside Park.
