(Mills County) A car/motorcycle crash in Mills County on Friday claimed the life of a Bellevue, Nebraska man.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident happened at 11:09 p.m. on East Highway 34 at the one-mile marker. Authorities say 39-year-old Jacob Otto died in the accident. Leeva Unique Kitchens of Sidney, Iowa, suffered injuries.
The State Patrol states a westbound 2006 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by Jacob Otto and traveling in the eastbound lanes collided with the front of a 2019 Kia driven by 25-year-old Leeva Kitchens in a “driver to driver” head-on collision.
Otto was pronounced dead at the scene. Glenwood Rescue transported him to the Douglas County Medical Examiner’s Office. Glenwood Rescue transported Kitchens to the Bellevue Hospital.
