(Atlantic) One person was transported to the hospital following a three-vehicle accident at 7th and Hazel in Atlantic on Friday.
The Atlantic Police Department says at approximately 3:18 p.m., Todd Askeland, of Atlantic, was driving eastbound on 7th Street approaching Hazel Street. Gary Meurer, of Council Bluffs, was also eastbound behind Askeland slowing and stopping for the traffic in front of him. Jeanna Kramer, of Atlantic, was also eastbound on 7th Street behind Meurer and failed to get stopped in time, striking Meurer’s vehicle. Meurer’s vehicle was pushed into the back of Askeland’s vehicle.
Askeland had complaint of injury, but denied transport. Kramer was transported to Cass County Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Kramer was cited for Failure to Maintain a Reasonable or Proper Speed.
