(Carroll) The Atlantic girls won ten events and captured the team title on Thursday at the Carroll Tiger Relays. The Trojans scored 137-points.
Haley Rasmussen earned gold in the Long Jump, 200, 400 and anchored the 4×400 meter relay to victory. Rasmussen clocked times of 27.58 in the 200, 1:02.15, in the 400, and jumped 16.11.50 to win the Long Jump. The team of Chloe Mullenix, Kennedy Goergen, Ava Rush, and Rasmussen won the 4×400 in a time of 4:18.78. Taylor McCreedy outran the field in 1500 (5:10.81) and 3000 (11:32.53) and anchored the Distance Medley Relay to victory. The team of Madison Huddleson, Caroline Pellett, Goergen, and McCreedy posted a time of 4:37.12. Chloe Mullenix earned gold in the 400-meter hurdles (1:11.22), and Ava Rush topped the field in the 800 (2:32.16) and anchored the 4×800 Meter Relay (10:36.67) to victory. Running with Rush were Claire Pellett, Kennedy Goergen, and Madison Botos.
Hannah Jorgensen of Carroll won the 100-meters (13.60), and Claire Mille, Denison-Schleswig, finished first in the 100 Meter Hurdles (16.99).
Boone won the 4×100 (52.61), Carroll took first place in the 4×200 (1:52.96), Boone topped the field in the 800 Sprint Medley (1:59.74), and Denison-Schleswig won the Shuttle Hurdle Relay (1:13.68).
Britni Blackburn, of Boone, won the High Jump (5-00.00), Kenzie Schon, Kuemper won the Shot Put (39-02.75), and Vanessa Ayala topped the field in the Discus with a throw of 111-07.
