(Greenfield) Adair County Public Health encourages all adults who are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine to schedule a vaccine appointment. Note: Adair County Public Health has paused clinics and cancelled appointments for Johnson & Johnson vaccine this week.
Adair County’s and other counties’ supply of vaccine will only continue with demonstrated demand. State guidelines continue to require Public Health agencies to administer 80 percent of their vaccine allotment each week in order to receive a full allotment the following week.
Unfortunately, Adair County Public Health was not able to accept the regular 100 dose allotment of Moderna vaccine last week because they could not utilize all of it within the required time period due to low numbers on their waitlist. Currently, demand for the vaccine in Adair County is low and our available supply is exceeding demand.
CDC guidelines for individuals who are fully vaccinated continue to expand, and currently include domestic and international travel without test and quarantine. People are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the second dose in a two-doses series or two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine.
