(Monona Co.) A Little Sioux, Iowa woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Monona County Wednesday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident occurred at K45 and E54 at approximately 12:03 p.m. 63-year-old Shirley Klein was transported to Mercy-Sioux City by Burgess Rescue to be treated for injuries.
According to the report, 24-year-old Jerritt Hummel, of Elgin, was driving a 2017 Ford truck westbound on E54 and failed to stop for a posted stop sign. Shirley Klein was driving a 2004 Ford passenger car southbound on K45 and struck Hummel’s truck broadside.
