(Atlantic) Kuemper edged Atlantic 163-164 in boy’s golf on Tuesday at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club.
Braden Smith of Atlantic medaled with a 37. Garrett McLaren shot a 40, Lane Nelson, 43, Drey Newell, 44, Cruz Weaver, 48, and Cooper Jipsen finished with a 53.
“I thought Braden had a great round,” said Atlantic Head Coach Ed Den Beste. “Garrett McLaren had a nice score shaving 5 to 6 strokes off his lowest score from two years ago. Lane Nelson and knows he can go lower. Drey Newell struggled today with his driver and putter. I know he will come around. It was good to see Cruz Weaver score today, and Cooper Jipsen had some struggles and will get better as well. We all know we can do better and drop some strokes. We need to use this as a guide to improve.”
