(Atlantic) The Atlantic girl’s track and field team met with the media on Thursday afternoon. Twenty-eight student-athletes reported to preseason workouts.
The Trojans return seven letter winners and five state qualifying events from two years ago.
Senior Haley Rasmussen qualified in four events at the State Meet during her sophomore year, including the 200, long jump and member of the 5th place 4×4 meter and 7th place Distance Medley Relay Teams.
Senior Taylor McCreedy returns as a state qualifier 4×800, 1500, Distance Medley, and 4×400 Meter Relay Teams.
Senior Alyssa Derby returned a returning state qualifier in the 200 meters and was a member of the medal-winning Distance Medley, and 4×400 Meter Relays teams.
Seniors Madison Botos and Kennedy Goergen return as state qualifiers in the 4×800 meter relay team.
