(Harlan) The Shelby County Board of Supervisors approved the Fiscal Year 2022 maximum property tax dollars at their meeting on Tuesday.
The approval followed a public hearing in which there were no comments. According to the meeting minutes, the maximum property tax dollars for General County Services shall not exceed $4,586,035 and for Rural County Services shall not exceed $2,285,000. The maximum property tax dollars requested in either General County Services or Rural County Services for FY2022 represents an increase of over 106% from the maximum property tax dollars requested for FY2021.
The Supervisors then set March 16th at 9:00 a.m. for the final budget hearing for FY2022.
