Sergeant Bluff-Lution Captures Team Title at Rollin Dyer Wrestling Tournament in Atlantc

(Atlantic) Sergeant-Bluff-Luton edged New Hampton-Turkey Valley and Humboldt for the team title at the Rollin Dyer Wrestling Tournament in Atlantic on Saturday. 
The Warriors scored 176-points, New Hampton-Turkey Valley finished with 174, and Humboldt ended up third with 171-points. 
Twenty-four ranked wrestlers competed in the tourney. Four championship matches featured ranked wrestlers going head-to-head for individual titles. 
At (106), seventh rated Vincent Mayberry of Glenwood won by a 6-2 decision over #8 Cody Hay of Bondurant-Farrar. In the (126)-pound match, #3 (1A), Stevie Barnes of Underwood, won by a 9-1 major decision over #3 (2A), Chase Fiser of Bondurant-Farrar. At (145), #8 Jude Ryan, the fourth seed, upset #2 Isaac Bryan of Sergeant Bluff-Luton in the semifinals and topped #9 Dawson Bond of Red Oak, by an 11-5 decision in the title match. In the (170) pound championship, two undefeated, #3 Carson Babcock of New Hampton, 19-0, won by a 9-4 decision over once unbeaten and #8 Kadin Stutzman of Atlantic/CAM. 
In other finals matches, at (113), Brandon Erp (Red Oak) defeated Dylan Vaudt (Humboldt) by fall. At (120), #5 Rylie Anderson of Bondurant-Farrar defeated Noah Parmelee, of Sergeant Bluff-Luton, by a 5-4 decision. It was Ty Gargano (132), defeating Hunter Steffans by a 7-3 decision,  and at ( 138), Nick Steinlage of Interstate 35 won by fall over Colby Clarken of Humboldt.
Number one ranked Jack Gaukel, of Sergeant Bluff-Luton pinned Eli Green of Interstate 35 in 1:07. It was Ryan Pickar (160) of New Hampton-Turkey Valley over Fletcher Satern of Humboldt by a 12-3 major decision. At (182), Mitch Mayberry, of Glenwood, pinned  John Powers of Bondurant-Farrar in 5:31. In the (195) pound championship, Jacob Reicks of New Hampton-Turkey Valley won by a 6-4 decision over CJ Carter of Glenwood. Chris Gardner of Underwood pinned Sam Vonnahme of I-35 in the (220) pound championship, and Cristian Roquet of Interstate 35 pinned Easton Eledge of Underwood in 37-seconds in the finals at (285).  
Stevie Barnes, of Underwood, was named the Rollin Dyer Outstanding wrestler. Barnes topped a loaded 126-pound weight field with a major decision in the finals.
