(Council Bluffs) Seven pounds of marijuana was located during a traffic stop in Pottawattamie County.
The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Altima at the 7-mile marker eastbound of I-80 at around 2:54 p.m. Monday for excessive speed. During the stop, probable cause was obtained to search the vehicle. During the search, approximately 7.1 pounds of marijuana was located in several individual packages. The driver, 22-year-old Christopher Frey, of Madison, Wisconsin, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
The Sheriff’s Office also arrested 69-year-old Dennis Collins, of Crescent, Friday morning for Violation of a No Contact Order and Assault While Displaying a Weapon. Collins was arrested at around 8:45 a.m. after Deputies were dispatched to Old Lincoln Highway in reference to threats with a gun. Collins was located and found to be in possession of a firearm that matched the one described by the victim.
Brian Curtis, 23, of Omaha, Nebraska, was arrested Sunday for Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense and Interference with Official Acts. Curtis was arrested after Deputies were dispatched to the area of 505th Street and Sumac Road for a possible erratic or intoxicated driver.
Kristine Carpenter, 43, of Bellevue, Nebraska, was arrested Sunday at the 34 mile marker of Interstate 80 for Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense.
Yoandy Ramos, 36, of Oakland, was arrested Monday evening for OWI 1st Offense following a report of a property damage hit and run at 205 Brown Street in Oakland.
Marvell Wright, 30, of Council Bluffs, turned himself in Thursday on a warrant for Violation of Probation.
Mark Bellows, 65, of Council Bluffs, was arrested Monday afternoon for Harassment 1st Degree.
Alex Rocha, 27, of Council Bluffs, was arrested Monday for Violation of a No Contact Order.
