(Oakland, IA) — There were not many wins for the Riverside Baseball Team this season but Head Coach Alex Oliver says the team achieved a lot. For one, Oliver did not become the coach until midway during the track season — Oliver stepped up because there was nobody else to coach the team so there was no off-season direction. Oliver says he signed a one year contract so the biggest priority going forward is to decide if he returns as coach or if its somebody else
Riverside does have some experience returning at pitcher — Peyton Amdor, Cole Jeppesen, and Victor Alfonso and Oliver says that is something for the Bulldogs to build around
Riverside has a strong junior class with Alfonso, Amdor, Jeppesen, Bennett Hough and Hunter Shady and Oliver says they are committed to making the Bulldogs a winning team
Riverside finished 3-17 overall and lose four seniors — starters Dane Martens and Aaron Smith plus Wyatt Bell and Deagan Hansen.
